Hi everyone. So the paper work needed to have the print sale has been submitted to the ASOCC this past Friday, so I hope I’m not jumping the gun to assume that the print sale will happen on Friday December 7, 2012.

That’s a little less than a month away. So I wanted to know who actually wanted to sell. Message me back if you do.

If anyone wants to help with the marketing eg. Flyers/posters/social media etc. that would be nice.

I was also thinking that when I went to the ASOCC office no one seemed to know what a print is or what it was for. So what do you guys think of doing live printing that day?

My thoughts of the live printing would be to have a large piece of canvas laid out in the hall in front of the print classrooms and everyone could have a screen or block ready to print on it and we could all just keep adding and collaging on it so that people coming by can see what it means to make a print and it can create interest in our print sale.

Also maybe doing a raffle.

Feedback is appreciated.

Hello fellow printers. I see many awesome prints being made this semester keep up the good work!

We are still organizing the print sale here at OCC. There has been talk of including all other 2D artwork which I think would be cool.

Right now we are just waiting for permissions to be granted but the sale will mostly likely coincide with OCC's ceramic sale which occurs every fall semester around the holidays.

Don't forget that you can print on Saturday mornings from 9am to 2:30pm if your not too hungover.

Keep in mind that the perspective class is in session during this time. The teacher Pat is a cool guy and the students are usually doing their own thing just remember to keep the door to the power washer room closed while you're power washing and try to leave by 2:30. Also the perspective students spill into room printmaking room to use the tables.

If you know you'll need to get into the ink room ,storage closet, or computer room, be there by 9 so Pat can open all of those before he starts class.

Feel free to add Printmaking Society on Google +

Thanks.

Hi. The fall semester is underway and the printmaking society will be starting up again.

This semester I would like to put together a print sale similar to the ceramic sale OCC has; maybe it could be at the same time?

The sale will be open to anyone that has prints to sell regardless of whether or not your enrolled in screen printing/printmaking this semester.

So start printing!!

More info soon...

Hello everyone! The semester is winding down and I haven't kept anyone up to date on anything! Yes, i'm horrible.

The Norton Simon show we discussed visiting during the meeting; closed the week of spring break.

The screen print work shop that we are suppose to do for the youth group is still going to happen. I know some people have offered to volunteer, so thank you. But I sent the guy who runs the group a list of materials/expenses and I will contact him tomorrow to get a confirmation.

But this Friday is International print day and we will have a open lab, and quite possibly saturday if any one is up to that. What do you guys/gals think?

Talk to you later.
