Saint Joachim Catholic School

Saint Joachim Catholic School is a faith based school for grades TK-8. St. Joseph of Orange. The school began with 150 students in three classrooms.

Our values form the foundation for our student’s rigorous academics and character development. Joachim Catholic School was founded in 1949 by Monsignor Nevin and staffed by the Sisters of St. The first graduating class held it's commencement in 1955. The school has grown in numbers since that time to the present enrollment of 275 students. The students who graduate from St. Joachim Catholic School

usually attend Mater Dei High School, Servite High School, Rosary High School, Newport Harbor High School, Estancia High School, Corona del Mar High School, Sage high School or Costa Mesa High School. On April 19, 1999, St. Joachim Catholic School celebrated 50 years of educational opportunities. Thousands of students have walked our halls and now send their children and even their grandchildren to our school.

Come cheer on the Angels and support our incredible St. Joachim School Choir as our talented choir members take the field to perform the national anthem before the game!

Bring your family, friends, classmates, neighbors, and fellow SeaKings for an unforgettable evening of baseball, community, and school spirit. Every ticket purchased helps support our choir program and provides meaningful musical opportunities for our students.

A week at the University of Notre Dame, a year of impact ahead.

This week, Ms. Botto joined school leaders from across the country at the ACE Principal Academy, investing in learning, leadership, and the future of Catholic education. Every session, conversation, and collaboration was an opportunity to grow so that our students, teachers, and school community can thrive.

Blue & Gold Day 💙💛

One of our favorite traditions of the year! The day kicked off with classroom dances before students headed out for a day of summer games, friendly competition, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

From cheering on teammates to celebrating together, Blue & Gold Day brought our school community together in the best way possible.

Thank you to our incredible parent volunteers, teachers, and staff who helped make the day so much fun!!

Today our SJS 8th graders and parents traded classrooms for pickleball courts as they came together for an afternoon of friendly competition, laughter, and lunch.

As these students prepare to close one chapter and begin the next, we’re grateful for moments like these—celebrating friendships, making memories, and enjoying time together as the SJS Class of 2026. 💙💛
