VU Comm Fest is right around the corner, and this year's theme is WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET. We'll see you in Scott Courtyard next month for an amazing night of films and fun!

The deadline for project submissions is Thursday, April 12th on vucomm.me. We're looking for films, photography, poetry, artwork, and all things artistic, so start submitting!

Our dearly loved Professor Naomi Kasa is making progress toward recovery after her medical emergency, and we are so grateful to God for sparing her life.
Here is a short video message from her students expressing their appreciation for her, and a link to donate to a crowdfunding site to help alleviate some of her medical costs. Naomi has given so much to the Communication Department, and this is one small way we can give back! Please keep her in your prayers, and send her an encouraging email to let her know we're cheering her on!

ATTN: Vanguard Cinema Arts/Communication alums/friends: award-winning Director of Photography Jerry Henry will be visiting campus, speaking and conducting a workshop at 10am on Friday, October 13th in Scott 150. Also, the night before, on October 12th, "City of Gold" a Sundance documentary that he shot will be screened in Heath 109 at 7pm. Jerry has extensive experience in all aspects of cinematography, especially documentary and documentary series. All are welcome at both events! Jerry is a great talent and never disappoints.
