Last Friday, Edison High School's CTE Aquaculture, Aquarium, and Aquaponics pathway received 120 White Seabass from the Hubbs Research Institute at Seaworld. The students measured & weighed each fish before placing them in their tank! Once the fish are large enough, they will be released locally to help sustain recreational populations.🐟

Huntington Beach HS CTE Sustainable Agriculture Biology students traveled to Eisenhower Park and rolled up their sleeves to test water quality and dive into nature in action. They measured oxygen levels, checked for pollutants and learned how water chemistry impacts aquatic life. To top it off, they learned how to fly fish and even created fishing lures. The day wrapped up with the ultimate highlight-- releasing trout into their natural habitat!
