Celebrating excellence in arts education! 🎉

During our Teacher Training & Celebration, we had the honor of recognizing three exceptional educators as our 2026 Teachers of the Year:

🎵 Edward Fallas — Music Teacher of the Year
🎭 Gavin Duran — Musical Theatre Teacher of the Year
🎬 Alex Bennett — Technical Theatre Teacher of the Year

Each honoree received a $1,000 award in recognition of their outstanding dedication, creativity, and commitment to our students and programs.

Their impact extends far beyond the classroom. Through their mentorship and passion for the arts, they help students build confidence, discover their voices, develop new skills, and realize their full potential.

We are incredibly grateful for the heart, excellence, and inspiration Edward, Gavin, and Alex bring to Arts & Learning Conservatory throughout the year. Please join us in congratulating our 2026 Teachers of the Year! 👏🏽✨

Arts & Learning Conservatory was proud to officially kick off Orange County’s Juneteenth celebration season with the OCBSN Juneteenth Celebration held at Kalmus and hosted by our CEO, Debora Wondercheck.

ALC proudly hosted and produced an unforgettable community gathering that brought together leaders, artists, families, and supporters to honor culture, heritage, and Black excellence. From the décor to the overall experience, the event reflected the creativity, excellence, and heart that Arts & Learning Conservatory brings to every space we serve.

Under Debora Wondercheck’s leadership, ALC continues to create impactful cultural programming that celebrates diversity, uplifts community, and uses the power of arts, culture, education, and engagement to bring people together.

As we proudly stand at the forefront of meaningful events that honor Black culture and excellence, we are honored to begin the Juneteenth season in Orange County — and we look forward to closing it with our Gospel Voices of OC event on June 27 at UCI.

✨ We’re honored to be featured in LA Sentinel for our upcoming 5th Annual Gospel Voices of OC Benefit Concert!

This powerful Juneteenth celebration is more than a performance — it’s a tribute to freedom, faith, resilience, and the lasting power of the arts. Through gospel music, dance, theatre, and storytelling, Gospel Voices of OC honors the rich legacy of African American artistic expression while helping support Arts & Learning Conservatory’s mission to provide high-quality performing arts education for youth across Southern California.

At Arts & Learning, we believe the arts can transform lives, build confidence, and bring communities together — and this event is a beautiful reminder of that purpose.

A message from our Founder & CEO, Debora Wondercheck:

For five years, Gospel Voices of OC has been a powerful celebration of African American
artistic excellence—honoring the voices, movements, melodies, and stories that have shaped
our communities through music, dance, theater, and the arts.

Join us for the 5th Annual Gospel Voices of OC: Chorus of Change – A Legacy of
Opportunity on June 27 at 7 PM at the Irvine Barclay Theatre.

This inspiring evening is more
than a performance and more than a Juneteenth tribute—it’s a movement dedicated to creating
opportunities for the next generation of artists.

Every ticket purchased helps raise scholarship funds for students pursuing their dreams in the
arts because we believe every child deserves access to the transformative power of arts
education.

As Debora mentioned, your ticket doesn't just reserve a seat for an unforgettable evening—it helps
put a young artist one step closer to their future.

Come celebrate, be inspired, and help us create a legacy of opportunity—one student at a time.
