Originally from Acapulco, Mexico, Eber believes that life is beautiful and approaches every opportunity with enthusiasm and gratitude. Passionate about sports, hiking, and personal growth, he has found support and inspiration through his educational journey at Orange Coast College. 🍊✏️

With dreams of becoming a chef, Eber is committed to learning, growing, and building a future in the culinary arts. He credits the OCC Library for providing a space to stay focused and gives special thanks to Chef Cohen for encouraging him to keep pushing himself toward success. 👨🏽‍🍳🙌🏽

What an incredible celebration! Our 3rd Annual Student Recognition Ceremony! 🎉✨

The best part of all? We got to celebrate YOU—our amazing students and all that you have accomplished.

We are grateful for another wonderful Recognition Ceremony and were honored to welcome our special guests: Chancellor Dr. Whitney Yamamura, Trustee Mary Hornbuckle, President Dr. Angelica L. Suarez, Vice President of Instruction Dr. Tara Giblin, and Dean Michael Mandelkern.

A very special thank you goes out to the incredible departments that helped make this event possible: Foundations, Pirates Promise, Maker Space, and the Marketing & Public Relations team. Your support and dedication helped create a memorable celebration for our students.

We are so thankful for our Pirate family and everyone who contributed to making this event a success. And to our students, along with your family and friends who came to celebrate and support you—thank you. Your hard work, perseverance, and achievements are what this event is all about.

As a full-time student, mother, and lifelong learner, Wenyu has shown remarkable resilience while balancing family responsibilities, pursuing her GED at Huntington Beach Adult School, and continuing her studies at Orange Coast College. 📚

Her commitment to achieving her dream of becoming a CPA reflects her hard work, determination, and passion for accounting. Wenyu’s perseverance and positive spirit serve as an inspiration to others, proving that it is never too late to pursue new goals and create a brighter future.
