Celebrating 21 Years of Dedicated Service
Please join us in celebrating Emily McBurney and her 21 years of dedicated service to the Coshocton County Prosecutorâs Office!
Emily began her journey with our office on September 12, 2005, starting her career as a Victim Advocate. She dedicated an incredible 12 years to serving victims and supporting them through some of the most difficult times in their lives.
Since then, Emily has continued to be an invaluable part of our team as an Administrative Assistant in the Adult Felony Division. Throughout her years with our office, Emily has consistently demonstrated what it means to be hardworking, dependable, and dedicated to the people she works with and serves.
Emily is always willing to lend a helping hand and is truly a team player. No matter what is asked of her, she approaches it with a positive attitude and of course, a smile. Her willingness to help others and her commitment to our office make her someone we can always count on.
After more than two decades of service, it is safe to say we don't know what we would do without Emily! We are incredibly grateful for everything she has done and continues to do for our office.
In asking our Prosecuting Attorney, Benjamin E. Hall, what stands out the most about Emily as an employee, he stated;
âEmily is one of our longest tenured members of the team. That experience is invaluable. With 21 years of experience, she has seen about everything. She can handle anything that gets thrown her way. We really enjoy having her in the adult felony docket because her attention to detail helps keep all that paperwork flowing correctly. She also enjoys public speaking and participates in educational presentations to seniors about different forms of elder abuse. This passion goes back to her years of being the victim advocate for the office and her passion to help people. She is a blessing for this office and I personally wanted to say thank you for all the work you pour into your position every day.â
In asking our Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Chrishana L. Carroll, what stands out the most about Emily as an employee, she stated;
"The felony division absolutely could not operate without Emily. Not only is she proficient and organized, keeping all of our docket and our filings straight, she keeps us straight, and never without a smile or a hearty laugh. Emilyâs knowledge of the felony system is unmatched, and comparable only to her consideration and compassion for others. Even though she hasnât been in the Victim Advocate role for some time, you can still see those attributes come out anytime sheâs dealing with the public or staff. Emily is just naturally a warm, kind and welcoming individual and we are so lucky to have her as part of our team. "
When Emily was asked what she enjoys most in life, she stated;
âI truly enjoy my work at the Prosecutorâs Office, but when Iâm not at the office, I love spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy tending to my beautiful flowers and taking walks around the neighborhood with my husband. Over the years, Iâve also grown to love the sport of soccer. Most weekends during the fall and spring, my husband and I can be found traveling around Ohio, cheering on our son, Greyson, and his travel soccer team.
I also enjoy taking girlsâ trips with some of my dearest friendsâan opportunity to escape, unwind, and make special memories together. But most of all, I love beach vacations with my family and the chance to slow down, relax, and enjoy time together. I truly believe that every day is a gift, and I try to make the most of each one by appreciating the people and moments that mean the most to me.â
Emily, thank you for your 21 years of hard work, dedication, compassion, and commitment to the Coshocton County Prosecutorâs Office. We can't thank you enough for all you do!
