I heard this in a meeting today and felt I needed to share. ❤️

Eve Tuck, Locating the Hope in Bone-Deep Participation

"We don’t need to let the enormity of change needed (and the enormity of the need for change) paralyze us. Change can be as small as shifting a baby from one hip to the other. This is not to say that change is incremental, but that steps which provide new vantage points can uncover new or forgotten paths. It is not so much the size of the steps, but the possibilities they bring into view."

My five-year-old daughters noisily broke into my office during class. I tried to scoop them out on my own but failed. Went to the door to call for help and THEY LOCKED THE DOOR BEHIND ME and had a five-minute conversation with my students while I rambled on about "consequences."

Hi all, I know everyone is extremely busy but wanted to share a few free resources:

A while back Yale taught a "happiness" class and drew an overwhelming amount of students. Well, here is the cool update: https://www.cnn.com/2021/02/01/us/yale-good-life-class-trnd-wellness/index.html

And what is even cooler is that you can take the Yale class for free via coursera. I just signed up!

AND...here is some free content centered on the pandemic but still focuses on overall happiness, anxiety, etc. Regan (our Exec. Director) is the primary facilitator! https://liberalarts.oregonstate.edu/sps/punchcovid19
