This week's staff highlight is Chloe, also known as Popsicle! 🍧✨

Popsicle has been a vital member of the KidSpirit team for 3 years, helping out in practically everything KidSpirit has to offer. Whether it's teaching, writing lesson plans, archery, working special events, or stepping in when someone needs it, Popsicle helps make KidSpirit a better place!

They were shouted out this week for their contagious laughter and for being in touch with their inner child. Popsicle constantly comes up with creative ideas and solves problems by thinking outside the box. 🧠🎨

The OSU campus was lucky enough to host the Youth Outdoor Career Leadership Summit this past weekend! Our attendees experienced a wide variety of classes, including archery instruction, surveying, harvest simulators, forestry classes, a career fair, and many more. 🌲📋

We watched them grow both as a team and as individuals in their time with us, and we hope to see them again next summer!

Thank you to all of our volunteers who shared their time and their skills with these youth; this camp wouldn't be possible without your help. Your impact has not gone unnoticed. 💪

This week, we're shining the spotlight on James! 🌟

With three summers of KidSpirit camp under his belt, James embodies the spirit of adventure and kindness. He's dared to try new things, from sports camp to cooking academy and art camp, and has inspired us all with his energy and enthusiasm! 🏐🥘🎨

Please join us in thanking all of our staff who work behind the scenes! They are the foundation of camp; the fun wouldn't happen without their hard work and dedication.📋🌟

Meet this week's staff highlight Leah, also known as Lei Lei! 🌸

Leah works in the cooking academy here at KidSpirit. 🍽️ She was nominated for being incredibly present and involved in the kitchen. Her friendliness and positive attitude inspire the campers to follow her lead. 🙌

Last week our Chefs in Motion completed a 5k alongside their families and friends! 🏃🏅

Throughout the session, they learned about and cooked foods for fuel and recovery while training for the 5k. Our chefs even got to visit the farmers market!🥗🥪🍎

KidSpirit has gone back in time to the medieval ages! 🏰

Whether it was a jousting tournament, dance battle, or theatre performance, the campers brought lots of energy today. ✨ We're saying goodbye to the Legends and Quests camp, but we're excited to see what adventures the next session brings!

Our highlight this week is Charlotte! 🎉

Charlotte is a turtle this session at camp! She loves to play with her friends and is always ready for a dance break 💃 She was nominated for the playfulness she brings to camp every day. Charlotte is an amazing example to her friends and always finds a way to make the staff laugh! 😁
