This team’s engineering capstone project focused on developing a vacuum-assisted, two-phase CPU cooling system, exploring innovative approaches to improving cooling efficiency while reducing water and energy demands.

The project went on to win an award from the company sponsor, Portland General Electric, for demonstrating a concept with the potential to positively impact the environment.

Students on the project included mechanical engineering students Ashley Bailey, Brody Hulm, Lizzie Kapoor, Sophia Lewis, Grace Plaisted, and Logan Snell.

This was the capstone project of bioengineering students Felix Leahey, Anisa Ali, Marina Ketrenos, and Riley Wright.

They developed a stretchy gel that could vastly improve home first-aid burn care.

The stretchy nature of the gel allows individuals to place the product in places that traditional burn bandages struggle to adhere to. Like the complex shape of your hand, elbows, knees, etc.

This is the newly built Knife River/Everus Construction Safety Laboratory on Oregon State’s campus.

The lab allows faculty and students to conduct construction safety research. It includes three construction vehicle simulators that enable operators to work in virtual environments, allowing researchers to better understand operator behavior and improve construction site safety.

The lab will help advance construction safety research across Oregon and beyond.

Thank you , , and for your generous support to make this happen!
