📚 School Finance 101 — You’re Invited!

Join us for our first School Finance 101 session on Monday, August 24 at 5:00 PM in the LHS Media Center.

All Lakeview residents are invited to attend and learn more about how school finance works in Ohio and how it impacts Lakeview Local Schools. This is a great opportunity to better understand where school funding comes from, how it is used, and the financial decisions that affect our district.

We’re also excited to share that we have a new website page dedicated to Lakeview finances, maintained by Treasurer Armstrong. The page is designed to provide residents with greater transparency and easy access to information about our district’s finances.

🐾 🎉 Exciting news for Lakeview Local Schools! 🎉🐾

Lakeview High School has been awarded a $42,000 Ohio Arts Council grant to launch a new 9-12 dance program for the 2026-27 school year—at no cost to local taxpayers.

The program was inspired by district parent and experienced dance educator Stephanie Mas, who believes dance helps students build confidence, strength, creativity, and lifelong skills. The grant will fund instructor salary and program supplies, giving students the opportunity to explore a variety of dance styles as part of the high school curriculum.

Principal Lawrence Herrholtz called the grant award "a day of celebration" after overcoming the financial barrier to making the program a reality.
