Today's the Day !

Registration is open for the 2027 Master Gardener Volunteer Training Class in Trumbull & Ashtabula Counties.

The program provides 50+ hours of training in horticultural topics. At the end of training, interns have the opportunity to begin volunteering with the program. Volunteer opportunities include working in the Research, Education, and Demonstration Gardens at the OSU Extension Office, helping answer homeowner horticulture questions, and teaching at local libraries, community groups, and more!

Are you interested in becoming a Master Gardener Volunteer in Trumbull County? This is a great opportunity to meet current volunteers and OSU Extension staff, learn about the program, explore volunteer opportunities, and determine whether the MGV program is the right fit for you.

Master Gardener Volunteers support the community through:

Ohio State University Extension offers ServSafe® trainings that fit every organization's needs, using a variety of training methods.

The ServSafe® training program is the industry standard for food safety education and this course meets the standards as set by the Ohio Department of Health as Level II Certification in Food Protection Manager Certification (Ohio Revised Code 3701-21-25).

This is a multiple day food safety training course for Ohio food service managers. Upcoming Classes for 2026 Dates & Times:

We are proud to share that two of our educators, Lee Beers and Noelle Zamary, presented at the 111th Annual Meeting and Professional Improvement Conference of the National Association of County Agricultural Agents (NACAA).

Lee was awarded the North Central Region Distinguished Service Award from the NACAA in addition to giving a presentation on the topic of Promoting a Culture of AI Literacy at Ohio State University.

Noelle Zamary was a state winner for her creative works in the newsletter category for the Northeast Agri-Culture Newsletter as well as presenting on the topic Same Roots, New Methods: A Hybrid MGV program.
