The 3rd graders participated in a special bank assembly where they learned about having a job, earning money, and making choices about how to spend it! Throughout the school year, they will continue learning about financial literacy with four classroom lessons focused on saving and spending money.

Los estudiantes de 3er grado participaron en una asamblea especial presentada por un banco, donde aprendieron sobre tener un trabajo, ganar dinero y tomar decisiones sobre cómo gastarlo. Ms. Pérez and Ms. D’Amico’s students investigated owl pellets! Their students have been learning how owls get energy from the sun and how that energy is transferred through the food chain.

Saturday marked the end of the season for the Cortland Elementary School Girls on the Run team. All of the girls successfully completed a 5K alongside their running buddies! Congratulations to these amazing girls and their coaches on all of their hard work and dedication!

Mrs. Bailey’s students had a fun and productive community trip to Michael’s and Target to get classroom supplies! They practiced teamwork, budgeting, and making thoughtful choices while helping prepare for learning in the classroom. Great job, students!

¡Los estudiantes de Mrs. Bailey tuvieron un paseo comunitario divertido y productivo a Michael’s y Target para comprar útiles para el salón!
