Study Abroad (SAB 429, SAB 629) internship is open to graduate and undergraduate Elementary / Early Elementary Education majors as well as Adolescence Education majors in English, Science, Mathematics and Technology. I did have an interesting encounter on the street when I was out yesterday. An older gentlemen, I think because of my hat that I'm wearing, asked me if I was Australian and I told him no, that I was from America. I was asked if I was on vacation and I explained why I am in Thailand and what our students are doing. He then asked if they were teaching in Thai and I explained that they were at a bilingual school teaching in English. As the conversation progressed, thanked me three or four times for the work we are doing in helping the Thai children learn English and improving their education. It is a wonderful feeling to know that there are people here, who are outside of the education system, that seem appreciate what we are doing. Just another reason I love the Thai people.
