OHIO CONCEALED CARRY/CHL CLASS; This weekend 10/26-10/27/2024. Classroom will be held in Cortland with the fi****ms training portion conducted at Orwell Gun Club

If you or if you know of anyone that wants to obtain their Ohio CHL or just wants to learn proper safety and use of handguns, please consider this class. With Ohio permitless carry now, there has been less interest in learning defensive shooting techniques and the laws applicable to self defense, so fewer classes are available. This class goes well beyond the minimum requirements set to obtain your CHL and is suited for even those new to fi****ms who want to learn basic concepts in defensive shooting and the laws applicable to self-defense in Ohio.
In this class, you will learn;
-The differences in defensive level handguns
-Proper grip, retention and presentation skills
-Course of fire is 100 rounds and includes diagnostic shot placement, moving and shooting, multiple targets, multiple shots
-Detailed review of Ohio laws and role play scenarios

Why 2 tourniquets?
Well, the wider the effective width of a TQ, the lower the pressure needed to occlude blood flow thru that extremity - i.e. SAFER!
By placing 2 TQs right next to each other (kissing TQs) you achieve this and that can help you stop bleeding on a larger diameter limb.
BUT, the 2 TQs MUST be applied directly next to each other - NOT with a gap between them, for this to work.

Well if wider = safer, why didn’t you just make the CAT extra wide to begin with???

Simple answer: so you can actually twist the windlass. The wider the TQ, the more strength it takes to twist the windlass - the CAT was developed with guidance from the Army’s Institute of Surgical Research (ISR) to be a width that safely occludes blood flow AND be applied single-handed.
