The Cortez Farmers Market invites families and visitors to enjoy a full day in Cortez on Saturday, September 26, 2026. The Market runs from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. every Saturday at 601 North Mildred Road and features fresh local produce, baked goods, floral gifts, jewelry and crafts, live music, and more for families to enjoy together.

As part of this special community‑focused market day, children are encouraged to bring their bicycles to practice their riding skills with Cortez Police Department officers, receive a free minor bicycle tune‑up from Kokopelli Bike and Board, and learn about the Safe Routes to School project that will upgrade and improve roadways and sidewalks around Mesa Elementary School.

We extend a thank you to our community partners who make this event possible: Ballantine Family Fund, Cortez Police Department, LOR Foundation, First National Bank, Kokopelli Bike and Board, 1st Southwest Bank, and the 12 Hours of Mesa Verde. Their support helps create a safe, fun, and engaging experience for families across Cortez.

After the Market, everyone is invited to stay in Parque de Vida for Oktoberfest Cortez from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. This annual fall celebration offers free, family‑friendly entertainment with live music and local food and drink, creating a fun and relaxed way to continue the day in Cortez.

Free parking is available on North Park Street and along Mildred Road. Parking lots (including accessible parking) available include the lots at the Cortez Recreation Center, the Cortez Library, and the McAndrew Field and Rotary Ball field lots. Additional parking is available at the Cortez BMX track and Cortez Municipal Outdoor Pool parking lots.
