As our students continue to learn and improve in extracurriculars and academics, it is important to be mindful of the following to prepare for your future career and life!

JUST DO THESE 12 THINGS:

1. Be early. On time is expected. Late is remembered.
2. Become difficult to replace. Average effort gets average security.
3. Admit mistakes fast. Silence turns small issues into big ones.
4. Communicate before you’re asked. Gaps get filled with guesses.
5. Don’t just point at problems. Bring a fix with you.
6. Learn how the whole machine works. Not just your piece of it.
7. Be easy to work with. Skill gets you hired. Attitude gets you kept.
8. Stay out of the noise. Workplace gossip has a long memory.
9. Follow through. Every time. Reliability beats talent over time.
10. Listen more than you speak. The room tells you everything if you let it.
11. Show up the same way every day. Consistency wins quietly.
12. Make your manager, parent, or teacher’s life easier. That’s who opens doors for you.

Update post: The floors are getting cleaner! Main floor is set to be waxed on Monday and Tuesday. The Band Hall will be closed these days.

The CTB leaders are hard at work preparing the band hall for one of the largest bands in school history!

It takes a village! They are jamming to some music and doing some bonding!

Today is National Band Director’s day! Here’s a shout out to our amazing band directors. They work tirelessly to ensure the students have a successful, enriching, and fulfilling musical experience.

If you see any of the directors out and about, make sure you thank them for their work and dedication!

Our 6th-8th grade Solo and Ensemble is underway! These kids are doing great! Give them a round of applause if you see a band student in the coming days!

Let me introduce the largest color guard in Corsicana history (to my knowledge). Three had to leave early and are missing from this photo.

Congratulations to the Collins Intermediate Beginner Band for receiving a 1st division rating at the Pride of Texas Music Festival held at Alley Cats in Hurst!
