Twas the night before homecoming, and all through the town,
The Owls were preparing, no chance to back down.
The tape rolls were ready, the polos all stacked,
The trainers stood strong with all their gear packed.
The jerseys were hung in the locker room with care,
In hopes that a victory soon would be there.
The Lions from Tyler were fierce, bold, and fast,
But our Owls were ready to make this game last.
The crowd would be roaring, the lights shining bright,
On district game two, a true Friday night fight.
The trainers stood steady, through hustle and strain,
With ice, tape, and water—they carried the game.
From ankles to shoulders, they handled it all,
Answering the whistles, the injuries, the calls.
And when the Owls charge, with power and might,
The Lions will learn Joshua Owls own the night.
So here’s to the trainers, the heart of the crew,
Homecoming, District—Game number two.
For victory is sweeter when the hard work is shown,
And under these lights, the Owls claim it as home.
