Thank you to our PTA and the Winkle family for making this happen for our kiddos!!! We are grateful for our Corryton family support, one of the many things that makes Corryton such a special place!

A huge THANK YOU to Shane Winkle (Winkle’s Plumbing) for generously donating new balls for our students to enjoy at recess! 🏀⚽️🏈

Our kids were in need of some new playground equipment, and Shane stepped up to help fill that need right away. We are so thankful for community members who support our school and help make school days a little more fun for our kids! 💙🌪️

We are excited to welcome families of our upper elementary kiddos to the learning cottages on Tuesday to learn more about your child's planned journey for this school year! It's a new adventure for them and for you as families. We are all in this together and prepared to make this one of their most amazing learning experiences yet!

Here’s a taste of what’s tray-ing in Knox County Schools cafeterias this week.

❶ Pillsbury whole grain-rich mini pull-apart cinnamon rolls with a rich cinnamon flavor and no artificial flavors or certified colors.

❷ 1.25 cups of creamy, homemade macaroni and cheese seasoned with white pepper and our secret ingredient—mustard.

❸ Don Lee Farms Backyard Griller charbroiled all-beef burger patty served on a whole-grain Super Bakery bun, with or without cheese.

🌪️💙 What a wonderful first day, Cyclones! 💙🌪️

It was SO good to have our students back in the building today! The smiles, hugs, laughter, and excitement made for a pretty amazing start to the 2026–2027 school year. We loved every minute of our first day together and can’t wait for our first FULL day tomorrow!

⏰ 1st–5th Grade: 7:45 AM–2:45 PM

🍎 Kindergarten staggered days begin tomorrow!
Kindergarten families may drop off at 8:00 a.m. and pick up at 12:00 p.m. on their child’s scheduled staggered day.

Mrs. Warden, Ms. Erickson, Ms. Tracie, and Dr. McCann are so excited to welcome our newest Cyclones, get to know each of them, and help them begin their Corryton adventure! 💙

Kindergarten families should already know their child’s scheduled staggered day, but if you have any questions, please give our school office a call.

Day 1 was a great one. Here’s to an amazing year ahead! ✨️

Tomorrow’s the BIG day! The first day of school is almost here, and we can’t wait to welcome our students back to Corryton Elementary! 📚

Don’t forget: Monday, Aug. 10 is a half day for our 1st-5th graders. We will dismiss at 11:15.

Get those backpacks ready, have a good night's sleep, and we will see you in the morning! ❤️

What a week! 💙🌪️

Our Corryton staff family packed a LOT into these last few days! We learned, planned, prepared, laughed (a lot! 😂), celebrated birthdays and accomplishments, and simply enjoyed being back together. We topped it all off with a wonderful Meet the Teacher Night and loved seeing so many of our Corryton families back in the building!

Now, after a week focused on getting ready, it’s time to shift our focus to the reason behind it all... our kids! ❤️

The classrooms are ready. The halls are ready. Our staff is ready. And we can’t wait to welcome our Cyclones back on Monday!

Here’s to an amazing 2026-2027 school year! 🌪️💙💛
