A&M-Corpus Christi's Phi Kappa Phi chapter hosted its inaugural PKP Week February 3rd, 2020. With Q&A Sessions and information tables, PKP Officers highlighted the eligibility requirements and benefits of membership in the nation’s oldest multidisciplinary honor society. Door prizes where given to students who visited information tables or Q&A sessions. Congratulations to Bryanna Flores, Lynden Mack, Tori Estess and Juan Rios!

Islander Doctoral Student Earns Prestigious D.C. Internship Melissa McCutcheon, a Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Coastal and Marine System Science doctoral candidate, was recently awarded an internship with the Ocean Conservancy’s Ocean Acidification Program in Washington, D.C. that runs from July 1 to December 13, 2019.

FELLOWSHIPS

Each year, Phi Kappa Phi awards fifty-one Fellowships of $5,000 each and six at $15,000 each to members entering the first year of graduate or professional study. Each Phi Kappa Phi chapter may select one candidate from among its local applicants to compete for the Society-wide awards. DEADLINE: November 30th

DISSERTATION FELLOWSHIPS

The Dissertation Fellowship program is new to The Society and is intended to support doctoral candidates who are writing dissertations. Phi Kappa Phi awards two Dissertation Fellowships of $10,000 per year. DEADLINE: November 30th

STUDY ABROAD GRANTS

Study Abroad Grants are designed to help support undergraduates as they seek knowledge and experience in their academic fields by studying abroad. Fifty $1,000 scholarships are awarded each year. DEADLINE: November 30th
