Mental Health Monday 💚

First responders are trained to show up for others, but they deserve a safe, confidential way to ask for help, too.

The Room 16 Protocol brings emergency departments and peer-support teams together to provide first responders in a mental health crisis with timely care, privacy, continued peer support, and flexible treatment options.

It’s a powerful reminder that protecting those who protect our communities must include protecting their mental health.

🚨 Funding Opportunity for Rural EMS Agencies!

Organizations serving rural communities may be interested in this funding opportunity from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
The Rural Emergency Medical Services (R-EMS) Training Program is intended to strengthen EMS in rural communities by supporting training initiatives for eligible EMS agencies.

Highlights include:
✔️ Up to $300,000 per award
✔️ Approximately 45 awards anticipated
✔️ No cost-sharing or matching requirement
✔️ Two-year project period

The application deadline is Thursday, July 16.
