Hello Bear Family,

The West Oso ISD Athletic Department is proud to announce that Gold Cards will be available for our senior citizens for the entire 2026-2027 Bear season. If you are 65 or older, live in the district, and can provide State ID, then you are eligible!

Gold Cards can be picked up at the West Oso ISD Central Office at 5350 Bear Lane on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:00-11:00 AM until September 30th, 2026.

🥋 FREE TAE KWON DO CLASSES FOR OUR STUDENTS! 🥋

Check out this awesome opportunity for youth ages 8–12! The Molina Neighborhood Center, in partnership with Soto Tae Kwon Do Academy, is offering FREE Tae Kwon Do classes! Classes are held Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 6:30–7:45 PM at the Molina Neighborhood Center, 614 Horne Rd.

from West Oso Cross Country:

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Hoka-McNeil XC Meet🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Last weekend, some of our runners had the opportunity to compete at the Hoka-McNeil XC Meet in Round Rock—and what a great experience it was!

The varsity girls competed against 455 runners and the boys against 458 runners. They held their own against some great competition:

🏃‍♀️ Sophia Torres - 46th Place 🏃‍♂️Matthew Escalona - 129th
🏃‍♀️ Desiree Torres - 69th Place 🏃‍♂️Jonathan Escalona - 181st

That’s some serious competition, and they got a little taste of what it will be like racing on the State course! 🙌🏼🔥

Two of our JH boys ran in the Middle School Division, competing against an incredible 800 runners!
