Our Story

Third Coast Science For You is an outreach initiative founded by the Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi Marine Science Graduate Student Organization and graduate students from the Life Sciences and Physical and Environmental Sciences Departments. The goals of the initiative are to bridge the gap between scientists and the community and to better equip local scientists to share their research with a general audience.

There is a breadth of locally focused scientific research as well as many locally important scientific issues, and we believe that the public should have access to information on these topics! We aim to provide that information in a way the the community can understand and appreciate via a free biannual, bilingual publication as well as our website and social media outlets.

The website and pages are intended to serve as a forum for community members to pose their feedback as well as voice their concerns about local environmental issues for which we hope to provide more information. Please visit www.thirdcoastscience.org for more information, or stop by one of our distributors (The Mission Aransas National Estuarine Research Reserve, the Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center, the South Texas Botanical Gardens, the South Texas Museum of Science & History, the U.S.S. Lexington, the Surf Museum, Surf Club, and Coffee Waves) to pick up your free copy of our latest magazine!
