K Space Contemporary Art Education is bringing contemporary art to all ages. Classes and workshops will be offered on a continual basis always bringing new and exciting techniques to the participants. Classes and workshops are designed for all levels of artistic ability and the goal is to guide and teach new ways of creating art not only here in the education studio, but also equipping the participant with the knowledge and experience of trying these new applications at home. During Summer Camp, participants are immersed in ART for the entire week, campers gain an understanding of the creative process in the visual arts through practice. Students improve their artistic skills while learning problem solving skills that can be applied to all areas of study. Healthy snacks are provided; however, students will need to bring a sack lunch. We use art materials that can stain clothing, so dress accordingly or bring an apron. All art supplies are provided. We’ll also have brief yoga sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. In this class, students will explore a new medium, Cyanotype or sun printing! Using the power of UV rays, teens will experiment to create a self-portrait using the same methods used to document plants before scientists had photographs!

Important Announcement: Due to the generous funding from H-E-B, our Summer Mural Arts Program for Teens is now 100% FREE! Open to teens ages 13-17 with a passion for art and learning! Join us this summer to work alongside professional muralists, develop more advanced artistic skills, and make new friends, all while beautifying our city.
