Post 133 spent the day at Camp Karankawa for Merit Badge Training! Explorers worked alongside Scouts to earn merit badges in Fingerprinting and Crime Prevention! Post 133 completed their Fi****ms Safety Course today! A huge THANK YOU to the CCPD training instructors for teaching proper weapons handling and some basic shooting skills for them to build on! The Explorers were also introduced to the McCollum Mile and how we honor our fallen brother with each step of it.

Post 133 completed Water Survival Training! Basic survival skills of treading water, swimming, and rescue ensure Explorers have the confidence to not panic in a water situation! A huge thank you to the Corpus Christ PD Dive Team for their time and dedication to our Post!

Day 5 and the final day of the week-long training session is COMPLETE! Post 133 wrapped up their week with Self Aide/Buddy Aide, Rescue Carries, and Control Techniques! The Explorers worked hard this week and get to enjoy a little down time before we jump right back in! A huge THANK YOU to the , officers and training staff who helped to make this week such a success! Stay tuned for whats next……

Day 4 of Summer Academy brought so many adventures for Post 133! Explorers went with officers from Patrol, the Traffic Unit, and the Crime Reduction Unit all over the city to get a true experience of what law enforcement is all about! From traffic stops, to disturbances, to accidents, to thefts, Explorers were able to see first hand how officers keep our community safe. Explorers assisted with helping the elderly and even spotting an individual in distress and getting them immediate medical attention! Great job everyone!

Day 3 is DONE! Post 133 spent their morning in the Defensive Tactics room and the afternoon learning Leadership to include a visit from Chief Markle! What will Day 4 bring??????

Day 2 of Summer Academy complete! Explorers spent their morning becoming CPR Certified and this afternoon they spent some time with the West Oso Government program and then an introduction to Defensive Tactics! Tomorrow will bring more DT and Leadership! Stay tuned…..
