Please help us welcome Mrs. Belinda Arriaga as Dr. J. A. Garcia’s new Instructional Coach! 🎉

Mrs. Arriaga is a dedicated educator with 13 years of experience serving students in Corpus Christi ISD. For the past 12 years, she has proudly supported the Garcia Elementary community, teaching both kindergarten and first grade and helping lay a strong academic and social foundation for her students.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. Her commitment to excellence in education has been recognized by the Texas Education Agency, where she was honored as a Master Teacher.
Mrs. Arriaga is deeply passionate about empowering both students and educators to reach their fullest potential. She believes in fostering meaningful relationships, and creating supportive learning environments. Her work is grounded in a genuine desire to inspire growth, collaboration, and long-term success for all those she serves.

Ms. Benavides is excited and honored to join the Garcia Elementary family. She has proudly served students in Corpus Christi ISD for the past 13 years, including 10 years as a classroom teacher at Los Encinos Elementary and 3 years as an instructional coach at Fannin Elementary. She recently earned her Master of Education degree through the Texas A&M University RAISE Principal Residency Program and obtained her Texas Principal Certification.
Ms. Benavides is passionate about supporting student success, empowering teachers, and building strong relationships with families. She looks forward to partnering with the students, staff, and families of Garcia Elementary and becoming an active part of this wonderful school community.

CCISD properties will be closed on Fridays from June 1- July 30. We are glad to help you Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Monday-Friday schedule resumes Monday, Aug. 3.

All district offices will be closed for summer break from June 23 - July 3. Offices will reopen Monday, July 6.
