We post events and updates regarding our children, youth, college, and family ministries. John's United Methodist Church, families are important and that is why we offer many events to support families as they grow in their faith. On Sunday mornings there is Sunday School offered for all ages from 10:15 AM - 11:00 AM. Children, grades K-5, are welcome to join our children's Sunday School located in the upstairs of the Sanctuary. For more information visit: https://sjmethodist.com/children

Youth, grades 6-12, are welcome to join our youth Sunday School located in the Admin Building, Room 1. For more information visit: https://sjmethodist.com/youth

Adults, are welcome to join any number of classes that range from Bible Study to Current Issues. For more information visit: https://sjmethodist.com/adults

We also offer a growing youth group that meets every Sunday evening from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM, in the Admin Building, Room 1, where we play fun games, worship, and discuss topics that are relevant to the lives of our teens. We serve in missions through quarterly service projects and host many events that are faith filled fun.

Yesterday at Youth JAM, we continued our September series, Discovering Justice in the Old Testament, with the story of Jonah!

Together, we talked about Jonah’s struggle with God showing mercy to people he believed didn’t deserve it and wrestled with what that teaches us about justice, mercy, and grace. Sometimes God’s idea of justice challenges our own—and Jonah’s story gave us plenty to think about!

We’re looking forward to continuing our journey through the Old Testament together next Sunday.

Last Sunday we learned that Noah built an ark. So we did too! Look at some of our excellent arks built in Sunday School. The preschool children stamped the animals next to Noah's ark, then used lego's to build their arks too! THIS Sunday join us for a science experiment creating rainbows with God's promise to Noah!
