These kiddos were so with it , I decided to give them a challenge and went straight to playing consecutive rhythms . Sometimes we start with pictures of instruments that add up to beats , but they got it ! I can already see the special gifts each one possesses .

Creating rhythms with quarter notes and rests , and practicing how to hold and strum the ukulele !

Going to miss this wonderful bunch! We had a little dance party and each made up a dance which we named after them. Here are some dance photos. At the end of class, the 4 and 5 year old students were reading and playing Mary Had a Little Lamb on xylophone. One even played from memory and by ear. So much growing and learning through music. Its incredible and thank you to all the parents for enrolling!s

Local musician David King came by to show the class a few different instruments : Violin and Mandolin.

Today, with the Learning Center Preschool, we had take-home practice sheets of rhythms and made shakers to play them with. We then sang and played Twinkle, Twinkle while I played it on Xylophone. I'm sharing Mozart's variations of Twinkle, Twinkle because, the kids essentially did their own versions when I passed the xylophone to them!:) Share this video with your kids and ask them if they can tell what song it is.
