Making an impact at the Island and beyond! ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿฆ‹โœจ

Earlier this month, several of our librarians attended the American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference & Exhibition, connecting with library professionals from across the country and representing Texas A&M Universityโ€“Corpus Christi.

A special congratulations to Mohammad AlHamad and Lisa Louis, who presented their poster, "Integrating OER and Library Resources to Reduce Textbook Costs at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi."

Their poster highlighted the library's efforts to make course materials more affordable and accessible through Open Educational Resources (OER) and library-supported initiatives that help reduce textbook costs for students.

We're proud of our librarians for sharing their expertise and advancing conversations around libraries, student success, and affordable learning. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š Go, Islanders!

Special Collections and Archives Move Update: The project is done in stages and steps. We are now repurposing existing fixtures for the new space. It is interesting to see how empty our old storage area is now! We will continue to update as the move progresses.
