🧪🌈 Today we did science with emotions!
Can an emotion become an experiment?
Of course!
Our students created lava lamps inspired by The Colorful Monster, exploring how emotions change, mix and transform within us.
Because when children understand what they feel, they develop tools to better relate to others and themselves. 💙
✨ Science + Art + Emotional Education = Meaningful learning.

🌎 La ciencia no se memoriza…
✨ ¡Se vive! At Océano Montessori we believe that children learn best when they can touch, experiment, observe and discover for themselves.

🐾 Learning Together with Chema 🐾
Chema arrived at Océano as a rescued puppy, but little by little, he has become a very special companion for our students.
Something beautiful happens when he is around: the children learn to observe his needs, respect his rest times, and interact with him gently and empathetically.
When the classroom fills with excitement and energy, Chema often seeks out a quiet spot to rest. The children have learned to recognize these moments and naturally lower their voices so as not to disturb his sleep. It isn’t an imposed rule; it is a genuine opportunity to practice respect for another living being.
Beyond just offering companionship, Chema helps create a warm, safe environment where children develop social-emotional skills such as empathy, responsibility, patience, and care.
And yes... he has his favorites, too. ❤️ Some days, it seems he only wants to be near Ms. Victoria or Sara, who always find time to pamper him.
At Océano, we believe that education doesn’t happen solely through books or lessons. It also takes place in the small acts of love, respect, and connection we experience every day.
🐾💙 An ocean of possibilities for learning and growing together.

🌱 Living Science at Océano Montessori 🌱
Today, our little scientists are exploring one of nature’s most fascinating miracles: seed germination!
We observed the parts of the plant, discovered the vital work roots perform, and learned how a tiny bean seed can gradually transform into new life.
Through observation, art, experimentation, and hands-on work, the children strengthened their scientific skills, expanded their Spanish vocabulary, and developed respect and care for living things.
At Océano, we believe the best way to learn science is by experiencing it with our hands, eyes, and hearts. 💚🌱
Because every great discovery begins with a simple question: What happens when a seed wakes up?
