Del Mar College Welding Applied Technology

🥶Be careful everyone and adhere to all safety instructions necessary to be safe out there.

Due to extreme winter weather conditions, Del Mar College will shift to remote operations and instruction tomorrow, Monday, January 26.

Students should watch for guidance from faculty regarding online classes and assignments. We understand that some students may have limited access to technology, and faculty will work with students as needed.

Supervisors should contact their staff members to provide guidance on meetings and work assignments.

During remote operations and instruction, all Del Mar College physical campuses will be closed. Please do not attempt to come to campus on Monday.

Normal operations will resume Tuesday, January 27.

The health and safety of our students, employees, and guests remain our top priority. Please continue to monitor the Del Mar College website, email, and official social media channels for weather-related updates.

Typically, we recognize one outstanding student each month. However, for August, we simply couldn’t choose just one. Two exceptional individuals have stood out in every way, earning the title of Students of the Month.

These students have gone above and beyond both in the quality of their welds and in their overall performance. They have advanced well beyond the expected level for their current stage in the program, consistently demonstrating excellent technical skills, strong work ethic, and outstanding academic performance.

Their commitment to learning and growth exemplifies what it means to be part of the Del Mar College Welding Program. One of our dedicated Welding Instructors, Jason Flores went above and beyond today by donating cases of water on behalf of the DMC Welding Department to first responders volunteering in Central Texas. These responders will be distributing the water to surrounding communities near Kerrville that are currently receiving limited assistance.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected during this difficult time. 💙
