Hello All! On November 26th and 27th from 6-8 pm, the local TXCPA chapter will be serving the community at the Coastal Bend Food Bank. The opportunity has been given to students to join them on either evening to help reach out to the community and network with CPAs during their month of service. Monday, November 11th Student Accounting Society will be partnering with the TXCPA Corpus Christi Chapter to cook dinner at the Ronald McDonald House. We are looking for 7-10 students to help prepare the meal. We request that you be there at 3:30 pm to start cooking, dinner will begin at 5:30 pm. If you are interested in signing up for this event, please email Linda Messing ([email protected]) to reserve your spot. This is a GREAT opportunity to network with your local CPA's and reach out to the community during the holiday season.

Yesterday, we had an awesome opportunity to see the internal functions of our new Frost building! Thank you Frost for a providing a trip for our members. If you would like to have an opportunity like this, join SAS today!

We have enjoyed getting to meet members as you all pay dues and fill out applications. Thank you to all who have updated their membership! This upcoming Wednesday (October 2), we will be hosting our monthly meeting.

Mr. Flores is a Cheif Financial Officer for the Texas State Aquarium. He will be speaking over the details of his everyday job tasks and will answer any questions. This is a great opportunity to explore another avenue in jobs.
