We are sorry to announce we will not be hosting a homeschool conference in 2023.
We understand the importance of this event to the South Texas homeschool community, but the coordinators need to focus on personal issues. If you would like to be part of the 2024 planning team, please let us know.

"The 10-99 Program" Workshop🤩 at the South Texas Homeschool Conference this weekend, May 20-21, 2022.

This workshop brings trafficking awareness: how it happens, how to identify and report with the ultimate goal of prevention.

We call this presentation the "10-99" program as it's for nearly all ages with the caveat that under 12 should be at the parents discretion, depending on the maturity of the child. We speak of things like s*xting, po*******hy, and of course s*x trafficking. We do not show any images of those, of course, but it is discussed. All parents are encouraged to sit in, even though some topics may be a bit out of their comfort zone. If they don't know how it happens, they cannot intervene or prevent it. It happens here to our Texas kids...it happens everywhere not just at the border or other countries.

"Homeschooling the Child with Special Needs" Workshop🤩 at the South Texas Homeschool Conference this weekend, May 20-21, 2022.

Parenting a child with special needs is hard. Homeschooling a child with special needs can be even harder. In this workshop, homeschooler, physical therapist, and veteran special needs mom Emiliana Wigley will give parents tools to adapt curriculum to their child's specific needs, point them to additional resources, and remind them they are not alone in this journey.

Come learn, be encouraged, and make vital connections with other parents walking the same journey.
