Solomon Coles High School and Education Center is CCISD's Alternative High School. We're proud of our legacy! He came to Texas in 1877.
Our school is named for a former slave, Solomon Melvin Coles. A sheriff during the Civil War broke the law by teaching Coles to read. Coles worked his way through college and eventually received his doctorate. He began preaching in Corpus Christi and teaching black students in 1878. Coles gave up the ministry to teach and serve as principal at the school known as the Public Free School for Colored

Last week we celebrated our AMAZING Police Officer Cain!
Officer Cain has an incredible personality that allows him to communicate and Connect with the students on our Campus! While maintaining his integrity and character! The students and Faculty are grateful for everything he does on our Campus to keep us Safe!
On Friday our Group celebrated him with a Nosh! Our theme was “It’s Not a Party until the Cop Shows up!

Congratulations to our Receipents' of the Phlebotomy Technician and EKG Technician. These two amazing young ladies received their pin and certificate from Del Mar College for earning their Healthcare Certification.
Shout out to Gabriella Hernandez for receiving the Citgo First in Family Scholarship in the amount of $1000.00! We are so proud of you!
