🎉 Happy Birthday, Alison! 🎉

If counseling came with achievement badges, Alison would have unlocked:

🏆 Helped calm anxiety
🏆 Helped improve relationship communication
🏆 Changed lives along the way

Wishing you a birthday filled with joy, laughter, meaningful connections, and all the things that make you feel appreciated—because you certainly are! 💙

Three states of mind walk into a decision:

🧠 Rational Mind: "Let's review the facts."
❤️ Emotional Mind: "Let's panic first."
✨ Wise Mind: "How about we do neither and take a moment?"

We all move between these states throughout the day. The goal isn't to silence logic or emotions—it's to find the balance that helps us respond thoughtfully.

🔋 1% battery mode:

You charge your phone.
You charge your laptop.
You charge your headphones.

But when was the last time you recharged you? đź’™

Taking time to reset, breathe, connect, and care for yourself helps you show up as your best self.

Summer is a great time to slow down, reset, and take care of your mental health—and the Counseling Center is still open to support you during your summer semesters.

Rest isn’t laziness. It’s maintenance. ✨

If this was you during finals week... we're calling that
✨strategic rest ✨

But really — finals are exhausting. If your body chose sleep, it probably needed it. Missing one "productive" morning doesn't erase your effort.

Be gentle with yourself. 🌱

🌮💚 Taco Tuesday + Mental Health Awareness Month 💚🌮

This Cinco de Mayo, we’re celebrating community, culture, and care. Taking care of your mental health is just as important as staying physically healthy—and support is for everyone.

Did you know?
📊 Among young adults (18–25), nearly 1 in 3 experience a mental health condition each year (SAMHSA)
📊 Among adults (26–49) about 1 in 4 experience a mental health condition each year (SAMHSA)
📊 Many in this age group balance school, work, and family responsibilities, which can increase stress and make it harder to seek support

If you’re a college student navigating stress, school, work, or life changes—you’re not alone.

Just like your favorite taco 🌮 needs balance, so do you:
✨ Check in with yourself
✨ Stay connected to your community
✨ Reach out for support when you need it

Our Counseling Center is here to support you with free, confidential services.

Feeling like you could’ve done more this semester?

Try this instead: pause, reflect, and notice what you did do. Every assignment completed, every hard day you got through, every moment you didn’t quit.

That’s progress—even if it’s not perfect.
