Say hello to Lorraine Valdez our amazing PTA President!!!
What inspired you to join the PTA?
Six years ago, I thought I was just signing up to volunteer and to “help a little.” Next thing I knew, I was knee-deep in fundraisers and event planning, somehow became PTA President for two years! I joined to make a difference, but I stayed because of the amazing people and the joy of seeing our scholars light up at every event.

🎪What’s your favorite school event or tradition?
I absolutely love all of our events but if I had to pick just one it be Donuts with Grownups! I brought that event to our school in September 2022, and it’s been a favorite ever since! This event will always hold a special spot in my heart!

🦸‍♀️ If you could have any superpower to help the school, what would it be?
Telekinesis – So everything sets itself up

☕️ What’s your go-to coffee order or favorite snack during meetings?
Oh, I love Coffee! I’m always trying new ones so don’t have a favorite! Anything with some caramel in it is a good but usually at school you will see me with an energy drink and popcorn!

What’s one fun fact about you that most people don’t know?
I have a mini business! Simply Rain. Started out as making necklaces and turned into personalized items. Tumblers, cups, shirts and now adding in boutique accessories!

📚What’s your favorite children’s book or movie?
Lilo & Stitch — I love the quote “Ohana means family” and Stitch maybe my PTA spirit animal. 🤪

🌍 What’s your dream field trip destination real or imaginary?
Hands down Disney World!

What’s one thing you’d love to see happen at our school this year?
More family fun events! We have been working hard to adding in more and so far I think we are doing a great job bringing in the fun!

Our school is awesome because it truly feels like family! Everyone pitches in, laughs together, and makes magic happen. After six amazing years, it’s going to be so hard to leave this place behind! 🥹
