We are looking for TWO energetic and dependable After-School Program Instructors to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year!
This is a great opportunity for positive role models who genuinely enjoy working with children and helping them develop confidence, respect, discipline, teamwork, and strong character.
Our Christian-based After-School Program serves students from Pre-K through seventh grade and includes:
💪 Fitness and physical activities
🎯 Games and enrichment activities
🎨 Crafts and life lessons
🌳 Outdoor recreation
⭐ Character development and confidence-building
Position Details:
📅 Monday–Friday
🕑 Approximately 2:00–6:30 p.m.
⏰ Approximately 24–26 hours per week
💵 Starting pay: $14 per hour
📈 Earning potential: Up to $20 per hour
📚 Training provided for the right candidates
Experience in education, childcare, after-school programs, summer camps, coaching, martial arts, youth ministry, or recreation is preferred—but not required. Martial Arts training not required.
Applicants must be dependable, punctual, comfortable leading and supervising groups of children, and able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Complete Job Description & Requirements:
Life Martial Arts is hiring two energetic, dependable After-School Program Instructors for the 2026–2027 school year.
Our Christian-based program serves students from Pre-K through seventh grade and combines martial arts, self-defense, character development, physical activity, enrichment, games, and structured supervision. We are looking for positive role models who genuinely enjoy helping children learn, grow, and build confidence.
Schedule:
• Monday–Friday, approximately 2:00–6:30 p.m.
• Occasional Friday evening and Saturday events
• An additional 1–2 hours each week for meetings or training
• Approximately 24–26 hours per week
• Starting Pay $14/hour with earning potential up to $20/hour.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Lead planned, age-appropriate enrichment activities
• Assist with martial arts drills, fitness activities, games, crafts, life lessons, and outdoor recreation
• Actively supervise students in classrooms, on the training floor, and during outdoor activities
• Maintain positive classroom discipline to support student safety and learning
• Help students transition safely and efficiently between program rotations
• Build positive relationships with students and encourage confidence, respect, discipline, and teamwork
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe activity areas
• Communicate professionally with staff members, students, and families
• Follow all Life Martial Arts and After-School Program Policies and Procedures
• Perform other related duties as assigned
The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Enjoy working with children from Pre-K through seventh grade
• Be energetic, encouraging, patient, and responsible
• Be comfortable leading groups and maintaining appropriate discipline
• Take direction willingly and provide reliable follow-through
• Respond to changing situations with flexibility, creativity, and sensitivity
• Work collaboratively with coworkers and families
• Demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Serve as a positive role model for students
• Support the values and family-friendly environment of Life Martial Arts
• Observe all health and safety regulations
Experience working in education, childcare, after-school programs, summer camps, coaching, martial arts, youth ministry, or recreation is preferred but not required. Training will be provided to the right candidate.
Employment Requirements:
• Must be dependable and punctual
• Must be able to actively supervise children and participate in physical activities
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred or must be obtained after hiring. LMA will pay for this.
