Today two of our classes went to a Mexican restaurant to practice their ordering in Spanish. They did fantastic! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Even as beginners, adults can quickly begin mentally processing sentence structures in a second language like a native speaker

Spanish Classes are starting in 2 weeks!!

I have moved up the date and we are starting earlier. 🙂
These are the classes that are still available:

Tuesdays @ 1pm
Tuesdays @ 3pm - Full
Wednesdays @ 1pm
Wednesdays @ 3pm - Full
Thursdays @ 11am - Full

The location of the class is the conference room at the Coffee Waves shop in Flour Bluff.

ABOUT THE CLASSES:

The Spanish class is a conversation/immersion class based on the SHOC method: Speaking and Hearing, Often and Consistently.

This is what the classes will look like:
Conversation based on a topic - We will talk about a specific topic and write down vocabulary words that are related to that topic.
Grammar - This part will be minimal but we will conjugate verbs, or practice numbers, or the difference between 2 Spanish phrases, etc.
Language Input - The students will be required to select a song or a show in Spanish to listen to at home and a podcast and youtube videos to listen to regularly outside of class to then discuss in class. This will increase the amount of language input to get closer to an immersion setting. The more the better. We will then discuss the material in class.
Language Output - Students will occasionally be reading a children's book in class out loud to improve pronunciation and learn new vocabulary.
There will be games in Spanish and there will be presentations done by the students as well.
You will Also be added to a Facebook group where we can share Spanish resources and ask questions.

Conversational Spanish classes begin September 27th. Classes are focused on speaking from the beginning using the SHOCK method. Come join us!

Current conversational Spanish class going on using the immersive SHOC method, Speaking and Hearing Often & Continually.
They're doing awesome!! 😃 They are already having conversations at stores and restaurants. So proud of them.
