Next week I will be off campus for trainings. So technically this is the final day I will be on campus at Haas Middle School. It will be officially closed due to consolidation. On this final day at this beautiful campus that I got to serve as it's final principal I had many emotions. The main ones were gratitude & appreciation for all the Haas students, parents, guardians, faculty, & community. In the last two years this campus staff & students went from a T.E.A. Targeted Improvement Plan school to earning an academic grade of a "B". We re-established a PTA due to a committed group of dedicated Haas parents, we had sponsors & parents bring back a school Cheerleader Team for school pride, we increased attendance, we had school choir, band, orchestra, & theater reach another level, our athletic program continued to bring out the most in our student athletes, additional programs were added for student mental health, organized successful Warrior Walks promoting the positives of our community, and had the most amazing turnout for our final school closing community walk bringing generations of alumni together one final time at Haas. There was so much more our students, parents, faculty, & community did in my two year tenure as Principal and really for much longer than that. I just want to say "Thank You Haas Community for working with me and being so supportive these last two years." I enjoyed walking the campus one last time with my parents & the Sr. Administrative Assistant Cynthia Recio. Many blessings to all of you. Summer workouts schedule for Haas/King
Girls 9am - 11pm
Boys 10am - 12pm

Reminder: No Back Packs, No Gym Bags, No Chromebooks will be allowed anymore at Haas this last week (May 26-28). Students should keep those items at home & only bring themselves. This is to ensure a safe, organized, & smooth end of year.
