Back in the summer of 2020, the Corpus Christi Caller-Times highlighted Black business owners navigating both COVID-19 and systemic racism during one of the most uncertain times in recent history.
We’re proud that Donovan Reagan, Owner and Founder of YAPP 361 Dance Studio was among those featured.
While the world slowed down, we didn’t stop building.
While challenges rose, we rose higher.
While doors tried to close, we created our own.
Representation matters. Ownership matters. Legacy matters.
As a Black-owned and operated studio, we don’t just teach dance — we teach resilience, excellence, and history in motion. 🩰🔥
This Black History Month, we reflect not only on the past — but on the courage it takes to keep going, keep leading, and keep creating space.

Most dancers would have folded.
Isabel rebuilt.

She didn’t just return… she qualified for NYCDA Nationals Nationals 2025.

She stepped onto that national stage and placed GOLD — NYCDA’s Nationals equivalent of Bronze. 🥇
