Garcia Arts & Education Center Offering free or reduced cost programming in education, arts, health, and counseling, the Garcia Center serves about 20,000 children and adults per year.

The Garcia Center is a collaboration of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi's College of Education, the Art Museum of South Texas, and the City of Corpus Christi.

🌟 Hispanic Heritage Month Shout-Out! 🌟

Today, I want to give a special shout-out to Karen Santos, our Administrative Associate at the Garcia Center! ❤️

Karen has been part of the Garcia Center family for the past four years, serving in different roles and always bringing her dedication, kindness, and willingness to help wherever she is needed.

One thing that truly stands out about Karen is that she is always willing to help others. Whether it’s helping a coworker, supporting our students and families, or simply stepping in wherever she is needed, she does it with a caring heart and a positive attitude.

It has been wonderful watching her grow and become such an important part of our team. We are grateful for everything she does for the Garcia Center and our community.

Karen, thank you for all that you do and for being such a valued part of our Garcia Center family! We are blessed to have you on our team. 🫶🏽❤️

These works by our spring Islander Enrichment Academy program art class students are now on display at the Art Museum of South Texas! Assignments include Picasso guitar collages, 3D cardboard constructed Picasso guitar, sunset prints made with bubble wrap, textured ceramic fish, and pastel night time drawings of the new Harbor Bridge. Congratulations to our students for this great honor!
