Chicas Rock Music Camp

ChicasRock Quinceañera was this weekend and we Celebrated the only way we know ! Loud, together, and with a whole lot of ROCK AND ROLL! 🤘🏽

Fifteen years ago, ChicasRock started with a pretty simple idea: to create a place where girls could come together, make music, be themselves, and feel confident enough to get on a stage and ROCK.
But somewhere along the way, it became so much more than that.
It became a family.

Over these 15 years, We’ve watched so many girls walk through our doors.
Some walked in fearless and ready to take over the stage.
And some walked in barely speaking, afraid to sing into a mic or even look up at the audience.
And then something happened.
Little by little, they found their voice.
They found friends.
They found a band.
They found a place where being themselves wasn’t something they had to hide.
And one day, that same girl who was afraid to sing would walk onto a stage, grab a mic or a guitar, and ROCK like she had been doing it her entire life.
Those are the moments we will never forget

Big thank you to our Chicas parents, thank you for believing in our program, but most of all, thank you for letting ChicasRock be a small part of your kids childhood.

To every coach, volunteer, musician, sponsor, friend and person who has supported us along the way thank you. You are part of these 15 years too. We could never have done this alone.

And most importantly…
To our Chicas.
Some of you stayed with ChicasRock for years.
Some of you were only with us for one semester or one summer.
But we hope that somewhere in your life, you carried a little piece of ChicasRock with you.
We hope when life made you question yourself, there still a little Chica inside you saying,
“I can do this.”
Because that was always the dream.
Not to create perfect musicians.
But to help create strong girls who weren’t afraid to take up space.
Girls who knew their voices mattered.
Girls who would grow up knowing they belonged on whatever stage life put in front of them.
Our little Chiquitas, our current Chicas, and all of our former Chicas
YOU are ChicasRock.

This video was filmed 13 years ago at Sound Machine Studios as part of the Classic Tracks series, where local bands were invited to perform. We were honored to be part of it and got to play one of our all time favorites, "Hit Me With Your Best Shot!"
