Yesterday evening, we had the pleasure of welcoming nearly 55 new substitutes to the Tuloso-Midway team!

It was an outstanding group - engaged, enthusiastic, and eager to learn. District and campus leaders had the opportunity to answer questions, share information, and officially welcome our newest team members to the Tribe.

Substitutes play an essential role in the success of our students and campuses, and we're excited to have each of you as part of the TM family. Thank you for choosing to serve our students - we can't wait to see the impact you'll make this school year!

Yesterday was an incredible day of learning, collaboration, and coming together as One Tribe!

Our campus teams rotated through sessions with district leaders, gaining valuable information and preparing for a successful school year. From Technology and Safety & Security to Special Education and more, each session helped lay the foundation for an amazing year ahead.

We closed the day with our District Convocation, where Superintendent Steve Van Matre challenged and inspired us as he introduced this year’s theme:

It was a day filled with smiles, connections, and excitement for what’s ahead. We’re grateful for every employee who invested in preparing for our students, and we can’t wait to welcome them back.

Our newest teachers, professional support staff, paraprofessionals, and clerical team members spent the day getting to know our district, connecting with campus and district leaders, and learning what it means to be part of the Tribe.

As we begin a new school year with our theme, Kids & Facilities Under Construction - It's Our Time, we're excited for all that's ahead.

We’re Hiring Substitute Teachers!

Tuloso-Midway ISD is now accepting applications for substitute teachers through June 19, 2026!

Those who complete the full application AND submit all required new-hire paperwork will receive an invitation to our upcoming Substitute Orientation — and participation in orientation is required to begin subbing at the start of the upcoming school year.
