Complaints and Grievance policies:

Here at the Learning Worm, we strive to let parents know that one of our most important priorities is to let parents be aware they can always come and talk to us about absolutely anything that feels off, wrong, or even just some simple reassurance.

Our job here at the learning worm is not only making the toddlers feel comfortable but the parents as well. We want our parents to feel comfortable, safe & happy to be here with us and apart of our family.

If for any reason a parents is upset for any reason, we ask that the parent please step forward to the front office and ask to speak to the head director or assistant director to resolve whatever is making them upset or feel unhappy. We want to be able to answer all questions and concerns. If for any reason the director is unable to meet with you, we asl that you take up your concerns or complaints with a member of our staff, they will then relay the message to our director.

We hope that you will feel comfortable, happy and sad with us here at the learning worm when something is bothering you, your problem is ours as well!

The Learning Worm Arrival and Departure Policy:
Arrival:
Our doors open for your children exactly at 6:30 a.m. we are unable to take any child under our care before 6:30. When arriving, every child MUST enter our doors with a adult present. When doing this we like to ask parents to give us a idea of how the morning went with the toddler to give us some insight about the day ahead. Every parent must sign their child in at the front desk before leaving with the time they arrived, the name of the child and the name of the parent or guardian.
Departure: Our doors close at 7pm. We will stay until every single child is picked up from the parent. Once departing every parent MUST walk inside and pick their child up but before leaving we ask you sign your child out by time they leave, name of child and the name of the parent or guardian.

If running late for arrival or departure, we ask that the parent give us a call to inform us they will be running late and when they will arrive. If we do not receive a call, your child will be counted absent for the day.

Thank you, The Learning Worm.

Child Care Licensing:

The Learning Worm is a licensed child care center through the state of Texas. Being Licensed means that we have become one of the many centers to reach our requirements regarding safety, health, education, and more. We love ensuring parents that their children are in great care while here with us! A few ways we ensure our parents here at The Learning Worm are by simply informing them that each teacher and care giver are all given a monthly meeting strictly talking about our kids safety and health and discuss what more we can do & what more we can improve on. we always want to improve our safety and well-being guidelines for your children!
Another Way to ensure our parents are by making sure that our students are always in teams & that each class has a total of 2 teachers, we want to make sure here at The Learning worm that every student is cared for, focused on, and made a number one priority without have the stress of too many students being in the class! We love knowing that 2 Teachers mean double the safety, double the fun & double the love!

We hope these few examples and information brings you and your toddler to enroll with us and join our Learning Worm family!

Program Philosophy:

At the Learning Worm we want only the best for your child! We offer lots of fun and play time but we are very dedicated to giving your child an amazing education! We believe children can grow and learn from playing but at the learning worm we try our best to keep play time and learning time separated. We do this so that way your child can know the difference between learning and playing! Of course your child can learn new things from playing, so don’t think we have officially cancelled that out! We always try new ways to help your children learn and grow.

•We have a set play time that is strictly to learn while having fun!
•We offer a time to let your children practice deciding for themselves and to encourage them in making decisions.
•we also have a set time where there’s no play time only learning!
•we even offer your children to help one another learn and build teamwork skills that will help them in the future!
