The Oyster Resource and Recovery Center at HRI has just launched a new online platform for Texas oyster farming! 🦪💻

The new website includes self-paced free workforce training courses that are easily accessible for anyone interested in getting started in Texas' rapidly growing oyster farming industry. The site also has resources for oyster farms and an interactive map to locate farmers and restaurants selling farmed oysters.

We have some good news from Cuba--the Ecovalor project's two socio-ecosystem report cards on Cuba's corals and forests are now available online! Here's more information about the current Oceana México cruise to the Campeche Banks reefs in which HRI International Chair for Mexico, Dr. Nuno Simoes, is participating. Mariana Reyna Fabián, a former SWIMM program student from the 2018 program at Parque Nacional Caguanes in central northern Cuba, works for Oceana México nowadays and is also on the cruise.
