Then adding how TRTA worked so hard to make the passage happen to benefit all retired teachers.

Congress Henry Cuellar- at the San Diego Civil Center San Diego, Texas.
Tri-County RTA members took advantage of an invitation to meet and give thanks of appreciation and support for the passage of the Social Security Fairness Act to Congressman Henry Cuellar. His presentation was an update of information on what to do and when to expect the benefits to be received. It was a great opportunity to find out more information and thank Congressman Cuellar.

Tri-County RTA 50th Anniversary had two Special Guests that were invited to our celebration and a special message was sent to Tri-County from our TRTA President Ella Gauthier.
1st picture - Mayor Cynthia Carrasco presented our Tri-County RTA President, Imelda Y. Gonzalez a plaque proclaiming November 21, 2024, as Tri-County Retired Teachers Association Day in honor of its 50th Anniversary.
2nd picture - Alice ISD Superintendent Dr. Anysia Trevino spoke to our members on how proud she is of all we do in helping first year teachers and how we donate books to our students. She gave a very uplifting greeting in all that we do.

50 and Fabulous! Cheers to 50 Years! 5 Decades Down, More To Go! Tri-County RTA had a fabulous 50th Anniversary Celebration. The special event was exciting and elegant. Special guest, City of Alice Mayor Cynthia Carrasco, presented Tri-County RTA with a plaque proclaiming November 21, 2024, as Tri-County Retired Teachers Association Day in honor of its 50th Anniversary in Alice, TX. Special Guests, Alice ISD Superintendent Dr. Anysia Trevino gave a very uplifting greeting to the members, and TRTA President Ella Gauthier sent a heartfelt and inspiring message, which was read to all members present. Tri-County RTA is proudly looking forward to continuing to

Tri-County RTA rang in the year of 2025 with a big winter blast of books!!! Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor cold winds of the day will keep these members from the swift transporting, unloading boxes of books and helping make the Childrens Book Project a success!!!! The year started with a substantial donation of books (two truckloads) from the Duval County Sheriff's Office of San Diego, TX. Thank you, Tri-County RTA members, President Imelda Y. Gonzalez, Past President Elva Garcia, Secretary Gracie Uribe-Cano, Newsletter Editor Adela Munoz-Navarro, members Baudelia Rivera, Isabel Garcia and 2nd Vice President/Childrens Book Project Chairperson Sylvia Ortega Trejo! Job well done!
