FBHS Theater is hosting a Summer Theatre Clinic for students ages 6-12. The flyer has more information.

Today is a bittersweet day for these special ladies. Ms. Carol Buitenhuis, registrar, is retiring after 16 years at the Junior High, and Ms. Martha Lewis, instructional aide, is retiring after 20 years in Flour Bluff ISD. New people will be in their positions next year, but they will never be replaced!

The year end goal of NJHS this year was to purchase picnic tables for more outdoor opportunities for students and teachers. They were delivered this morning! Thank you to the 25-26 NJHS students for your hard work this year! The tables will be ready to go for next year’s students.

Members of the award winning FBJH Choirs celebrated their UIL Sweepstakes win with sweet treats on Tuesday! Ice cream for all, y’all!

The academic UIL teams celebrated their sweepstakes wins from this year with an ice cream party generously donated by our Flour Bluff H-E-B

We are so grateful for our local HEB and all the student’s hard work this whole year. We can’t wait to do it again next year!

After closely monitoring the weather conditions, Flour Bluff ISD will operate on a normal schedule today, Thursday 5/21.

We encourage all students, staff, and families to use caution while traveling and drive safely. To allow additional flexibility due to weather-related conditions, tardies will be excused.

FBISD will continue monitoring conditions and provide updates if necessary.

Last Saturday, FBJH Art students competed in the TAEA Junior Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE).

The mission of the Jr. VASE is to recognize exemplary student achievement in the Visual Arts by providing art students and programs with a standard of excellence in which to achieve. Each year Flour Bluff Junior High has students that enter their artworks competing with others in their division for medals and bragging rights!
