Every year the City of Corpus Christi partners with CIS in our Communities In Schools Recycling & Litter Education Project that we facilitate on each of our campuses.
This year at TMMS, we held a recycling contest with our middle school classes, 14 class and 3 individual projects participated in our Disney Recyclable Contest. Students worked hard in their classes to create a Disney character using recyclable materials. Each of the entries were creative , unique, & simply AMAZING!
A special thank you to our judges
Mr. Hernandez ( Assistant Superintendent for District Operations) , Mrs. Riggs (Executive Director of Human Resources), Mr. Benavides (Co-owner of High Tide Events LLC.), & Mrs. Penelope Guerra (Recycling Outreach Coordinator) for doing the hard part in choosing our winners.
Congratulations to all the teachers and their students 😊👏👏

Doing Awesome things at TMMS!
I would like to make a HUGE announcement! 🤗🤗
Mrs. Fernandez' classes have worked really hard these last couple of months on their entries on how Youth Violence has impacted their lives one way or another.
Participants had to answer 3 very important questions on Youth Violence to be considered.
1). What are the causes of Youth Violence?
2). How has violence affected your life?
3). What can you do to reduce youth violence?
Over 2,000 entries were submitted and 36 were selected as finalists!
We are proud to announce that 2 were selected from our campus.
We are excited to announce our 8th graders
Alejandro Pozo Abreu & Abigail Lopez

We are very proud of you!
Also Congratulations to Mrs.Denise Fernandez for her dedication and willingness to help her students succeed in achieving this award.
