The Official Safety Team providing Fire, Medical & Safety support for the racers of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Pro 4 trophy trucks.
The Lucas Oil Safety Team is responsible for all on track fire suppression, extrication, medical support, recovery and clean up for the Lucas Oil Off Racing Series. The Lucas Oil Safety Team travels with the Series to all sixteen rounds of racing which includes 7 different Short Course off road tracks. The Lucas Oil Safety Team is staffed by 6 Career Firefighter EMT/ Paramedics during each event
. These 6 Firefighters/Safety Team members which are made up from a small contingent of Firefighters, Engineers and Captains from fire departments primarily around Southern California which travel each month with the Series.The Team consist of 2 professionally staffed Fire/Rescue trucks(equipped with fire suppression and extrication equipment) 1 professionally staffed Pit Safety vehicle and 1 professionally staffed Race Safety Coordinator. Additionally the team operates 3 Roll Back trucks. The team is responsible for safety operations at both the National and Regional series. In addition the team coordinates with local Fire and EMS services at each track for both the competitors and fans. During each race weekend the Team is responsible for the safety of 8 different classes of vehicles from the Junior Carts all the way to the 900h.p.
