🇩🇴 ONE OF THE BEST TRIPS OF MY LIFE. 🥋🌴

Looking back at our Jiu-Jitsu camp in the Dominican Republic, I can honestly say it was one of the best trips I’ve ever experienced.

Of course, the Jiu-Jitsu was amazing, but what made this trip special was everything around it.

Training together.
Traveling together.
Great food.
Beautiful places.
Laughing after training.
Meeting new people.
Building friendships.
And creating memories that went way beyond what happened on the mats.

This is what I love about Jiu-Jitsu.

It can take you around the world and connect you with people you may have never met otherwise. Some of my favorite memories in Jiu-Jitsu haven't come from medals or tournaments, they've come from experiences like this.

And now… it’s time for the NEXT CAMP.

EDJ INSTRUCTOR COURSE —> THIS SATURDAY 🥋

This Saturday, we’re bringing our team together for the EDJ Instructor Course at EDJ Academy.

This course is for current and future instructors, assistant coaches, and students who want to improve their BJJ by helping others and take on a greater leadership role within EDJ.

We’ll cover the systems and standards that help us provide a consistent, high-quality experience across our academy:

EDJ Teaching Methodology: how we structure and teach effective Jiu-Jitsu classes
Curriculum & Lesson Planning: understanding what we teach, why we teach it, and how our curriculum progresses
Intro Lessons & New Students: how to properly welcome and introduce someone to Jiu-Jitsu
Kids Program Coaching: class management, communication, safety, and keeping students engaged
Academy Standards: what we expect from anyone representing EDJ as a coach or instructor
Leadership & Service: becoming someone students, parents, and teammates can depend on

Being a great Jiu-Jitsu instructor requires more than knowing techniques. You need to know how to communicate, lead, organize a class, develop students, and represent the culture of your academy.

Our goal is to continue developing the next generation of EDJ instructors and leaders while creating a consistent teaching standard throughout our organization.

We have a special Competition Class coming up at EDJ Academy HQ for our students who want to sharpen their game and prepare for upcoming tournaments.

This training is for Blue Belts and up, plus White Belts who are currently registered to compete in an upcoming tournament.

We’ll focus on competition strategy, scoring, match management, intensity, and getting comfortable performing under pressure.

Even if you’re not competing soon, Blue Belts and up are encouraged to attend and help our competitors prepare while improving your own Jiu-Jitsu.

Come ready to work, push each other, and get better together.
